Let's Get Started
I've long had this idea to build a networked community around classical music in all its facets, from early to modern music. The idea behind this network is to bring together artists and audiences in an ongoing exchange of knowledge and inspiration through genuine social interaction—a sort of online "musicking."
An interesting and diversified interaction would require different types of media, ranging from audio and photos to tweet-like statements, longer articles, and videos. The vision is to combine different media in one common place that can, at the same time, be seamlessly accessed from different platforms:

- Mastodon for short statements and links
- Pixelfed for photos
- PeerTube for videos
- Any other ActivityPub-capable platform, and even Bluesky
- A Friendica forum as a sort of mothership to collect the various contributions

The consolidation of the Fediverse makes this vision possible, at least theoretically. Nevertheless, it's all learning by doing, and I anticipate many configuration issues. Bear with me if you receive repeated or even illegible posts in the coming weeks.
